Question

Applying Subscription Full Rights Keyed Concurrent Users licenses to LFS

SDK
asked on October 16, 2017

Regarding the Subscription Full Rights Keyed Concurrent Users licenses:

  1. Is it only applicable to Laserfiche Directory Server or does it work with License Manager [8.3] as well? Our Client that purchased this license is currently on the License Manager 8.3.
  2. What is the link to this screenshot below? My colleague opened a case and was given this screenshot. I have searched the answers and support sites but none showed links to this page.

Hi Karim,

The screenshot you reference is from the Laserfiche SDK documentation. It can be accessed as part of the SDK installation package. The version of LFDS/license manager is not relevant for the keyed application license. It takes place solely through SDK packages interacting directly with the Laserfiche Server.

You need Directory Server. The License Manager does not know how to assign the key to a Laserfiche Server license.

Client upgraded to Directory Server 10.1 and we assigned their subscription keyed license to the Laserfiche server instance.

What is the next step here? How do they utilize/assign this license to user /application?

The Keyed Integrator licenses are for custom integrations. The screenshot of the SDK help file in your original post indicates what the custom application needs to change when establishing a connection to Laserfiche in order to take advantage of this type of license (over the regular named user one).

Laserfiche client applications like the Client, Web Access, Quick Fields or WebLink cannot use a keyed license connection.
