Question

increase size of Workflow subscriber trace log

asked on October 11, 2017

Didn't see an article on this, so I thought I would post this.

How would I go about increasing the size of the workflow subscriber trace log?

Most likely, no. Depending on the traffic in the repository, the log could get unusably large.

Why do you need it increased? The log rolls over for manageability. You can load old logs by browsing for them on disk. They're stored in <WF volume>\ServerData\SubscriberLogs, by default, something like C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\WF\ServerData\SubscriberLogs\SUBSCRIBER NAME\REPOSITORY ID.

It is more for convenience. Since there are so many instances occurring, logs are getting generated every minute or so.

I want to increase the size so I can have a log that displays thirty minutes to an hour at a time of instances.

I want to have one log file that contains all the instances for that day.

The log rolls over every 1000 events. It has no options to roll over daily.

Could that be looked into as a feature?
