Quick Fields - # of sessions has reached licensed limit

asked on October 11, 2017 Show version history

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to why I'm receiving this error "Sign in failed because the number of sessions has reached the licensed limit, or the user account has reached its session limit, or no named user license has been allocated to the user account. [9030]"

I saw a KB article related to this but it looks like it was a hotfix for QF 8.0 and I am currently running 10.1.0.168.

https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1012383/a-the-maximum-number-of-sessions-has-been-reached-9030-error-occurs-when-running-a-quick-fields-8-session-with-multiple-document-classes-with-a-laserfiche-rio-or-avante-serve

UPDATE:

What makes it more strange to me is that this error only happened on the first backlog document from a batch I was processing.  After that, the rest of the documents are splitting and storing immediately, as designed.

There is a limit on how many concurrent sessions a user can have to the repository (ie, the number of applications like the Client, Office integration, Admin Console, etc, that are connected at the same time). It's possible that Quick Fields was not able to connect because the maximum number of sessions was already reached when you clicked "Send". So it reported the error and tried again. If a session was closed in the time it took to report that error, when Quick Fields attempted to send the next document, it would successfully connect.

Hi Miruna,

I have one session store documents immediately after a classification (11 in total) is identified.  When I look at the admin console it is only showing 2 Quick Fields users, one Laserfiche Capture Engine and the other is Quick Fields (LFSO/10.2.0383).

Am I correct in assuming the LFSO/10.2.0383 session is the client?  If there are too many concurrent sessions shouldn't I be seeing more than 2 users? I can say this was not occurring until I reached about 9 document classifications.
