Question

"Documentation View" does not maintain the "View" format when printed

asked on October 5, 2017

The Documentation tab is something I'd like to use to explain the methodology of each item on the process map. I tried it on the starting task. when I click on the clipboard for Documentation View, the format looks like this (very nice and easy to read):

However, when I click the PRINT button, this is what I get (not as clean looking and page breaks apparently not allowed for longer documentation):

Thought I'd outsmart Forms and copy/paste into Word. That did not help. I need the PRINT to recognize the same format as VIEW.

Anyone figure out how to get the formatting another way? Thanks in advance!

What are your print settings? If I print to a PDF, the formatting is all retained. The below screenshot is from a PDF I printed from the documentation view. It does look like consecutive spaces are being condensed a bit, but the new line is working and 2 new lines did create a gap.

I did print to PDF.  :-(

Update: Also tried Snaptshot and PDFCreator.

Received the same results for all (as shown in my original question).
