Question

Document Processing & Split

asked on October 2, 2017 Show version history

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, but what should be a simple task just doesn't seem to work. In Quickfields, I'm taking in a PDF with any number of pages, and want to split it into 1-page documents with a barcode scanned and added to metadata, and the file named with that value. It appears to work, except the first page processed ends up with a copy of the entire PDF instead of just the first page - no matter what I do, the first page isn't processed correctly. What am I doing wrong? I literally grab every document in a folder, have a classification that has a default document name, last page identification has "Limit document to 1 page", and page processing reads a barcode. First page is never created.

Found the problem - under LF capture engine settings, the "Document Content" had "Keep PDF after using it to generate Laserfiche pages" checked, which apparently caused the process to use the original PDF instead of the generated page for the first pass.
