Question

Laserfiche forms participants license for users outside the organisation's network

asked on October 1, 2017

Hello,

I currently have an internal and external form server. Some of my forms are accessible to the public through the anonymous connection. Now we have a requirement for provide forms to a pool of users who do not form part of the organisation but who require to authenticate themselves. The idea is to use Laserfiche form authenticated participant licenses.

I wanted to know if the above scenario can be considered with the existing internal and external form server? OR should I consider having a separate external server servicing these request? How do I manage the anonymous connection from the Forms authenticated participants?

Regards,

Vimal

You can have an externally facing Forms instance and still set up forms that require authentication. Forms will not allow an anonymous connection for forms set as Restricted.

It sounds like you would want to create Laserfiche accounts for these users, then when they access the external form through the direct link it will ask them to authenticate as long as it is not set to Public.
