Question

File Conversion on Import

asked on September 29, 2017

When Importing JPG you can choose to do a File Conversion and they are converted to a Laserfiche Image automatically.

If you remove jpg from the list of File Conversion and import, the Document is stored as a JPG in a native format.

I want to convert a batch of jpg's already stored in Laserfiche as a jpg. Choosing generate pages converts them using Snapshot.

Is their a method to do a File Conversion once they are in Laserfiche? It is much more efficient as the Import Conversion does not appear to use snapshot. It is much quicker and cleaner.

What method is used when doing an Import File Conversion?

The most straightforward method is to export the JPG edocs and re-import them after adding JPG back to the image conversion list.
