FormsConfig - The "use Laserfiche Directory Server" option under User Authentication is not there

I thought in the User Authentication section you could specify whether to use a Laserfiche repository or a Laserfiche Directory Server. However, the second option seems to have disappeared. I checked two different systems (both 10.2.1) and couldn't find it.

How do I change the user authentication configuration from LF Server to LF Directory Service?

Hi Ege,

Both options show if the database is newly created and has not been configured with LFS or LFDS.

If it's already using LFS, if you want to change to use LFDS, you can refer to https://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/Laserfiche/10/en-us/administration/Default.htm#../Subsystems/Forms/Content/Administration/show-lfds.htm

Thanks. The link you gave says there is no migration of existing Forms users. Is that a recent change? I thought when I tried switching the option to LFDS it asked me if I wanted to move the Forms participants to LFDS.

I think the "there is no automatic migration process for existing Forms user accounts" means the "Laserfiche repository named users".

The "Migration Information" on this link is correct and shows how Forms participants can be migrated.
