Accent Marks being lost when forms stores in the repository

I have a customer who gets names sent from Forms to the Laserfiche repository with accent marks.

What they're seeing is that when those accent marks are put in a Laserfiche form, and then sent to the repository, the folder created with [Last Name], [First Name], [ID] the accent marks are stripped out. Yet when a workflow creates those folders the accent mark is retained.

So they end up with duplicate folders. One with the accent mark, and one without. Has anyone else observed this happening, and is it fixable? I can find nothing about it in the documentation or by web search.

Hi Glen,

I tried field value with accent mark (I used café) and use the field variable in document name/path, the accent mark is kept in the repository folder/file name. I'm using Forms 10.2.1.

So can you give the string you used for testing?

I'll need to follow up with the customer first, and make sure I've got correct information on the problem.
