A search conducted in the desktop Client has returned multiple entries. Several of the entries display a value of "\" in the Path column, but these particular entries would not be expected to be in the root folder. Navigating via the folder browser confirms that they do not display in the root folder. Attempting to open or view metadata on these entries results in a 9001 error. Entry types exhibiting this behavior include documents, folders, folder shortcuts, and document shortcuts.
This behavior has been confirmed on both 9.1.1.584 and 8.2.1.750 clients, and the RIO server is 9.1.1.584.

It's possible that these entries were (or should have been) deleted. How can we open the entries and/or view the metadata associated with them? Assuming they have been deleted, how can we prevent their ghosts from showing up in search results?
