Hey There,

We have a question about expected behavior when using LFDS Groups with a nested AD Group and Forms user Synch.

We are currently using the LFDS group in formsconfig to grant access to forms for users assigned in LFDS. Some of these users have form participants licenses and we are currently using an AD group to assign those licenses (there are 1000’s of Forms Participant Licenses). So we assigned the AD Group to the LFDS Group that is used when granting access to the Forms site.

When syncing Laserfiche forms users the participant list does not populate. However when users that are assigned to that AD Group login into forms they then appear on the list until the Forms site sync happens again.

Question: Is the above expected behavior when using this configuration?

Feature request: If it is expected behavior would it be possible to have the list populate with the users that are part of that Child group? Users>AD Group> LFDS GROUP> Forms . Participant list would show all users?

Shane,

We encountered the same issue a month or two back. A patch was provided and the fix is included in the latest version of Forms (10.2 Update 1, item 3 in the change notes). If you're on the latest version of LFDS and apply 10.2 Update 1 for Forms it should resolve the issue.

Winner Winner!. Thanks Jason the Forms server was already at 10.2.1.205 but updating the Directory Server to 10.2.0.210 fixed it for us.

We're experiencing the same symptoms where we have an LFDS group with several AD accounts within that have a mix of named user licenses and participant licenses assigned, and this LFDS group is added to the list of groups that are allowed to access Laserfiche Forms in the Forms Configuration. LFDS is version 10.4.1.127 and Forms is version 10.2.1.327 (Update 4).

We'd like to assign this LFDS group access to a particular Form, but it doesn't show up in the list. The participants do not appear in Forms until after they've first attempted to log into Forms, and it's only then that we can assign them to the Form to access and start the process.

Forms is in the DMZ using LFDS STS if this makes any difference.
