Critical Error ID4243: Could not create a Security Token...

Hello all,

 

One of our clients was having some issues with Workflow apparently and I was looking through the event viewer and noticed this "Critical Error" in the log...

 

Level: Critical

Source: WebSTS

"ID4243: Could not create a Security Token.  A token was not found in the token cache and no cookie was found in the context."

 

I'm not even sure if this is Laserfiche related or not - but figured I'd post this to see if anyone has seen this and know what the cause is as I couldn't find anything.

It's not a Workflow error.

Do you know what may have caused this if it's not Laserfiche?

Hi Jon,

 

My client is getting the same error with SSO with SAML.

Could you please share your solution for the above issue?

Hi Aman,

 

This was from about a year ago and I don't remember what ended up as the end result of this - sorry!  I looked in all our support cases and couldn't find anything related to this. 


However, I do know that this customer of ours does not use SAML.  If you can't find a resolution and it is causing issues in your Laserfiche System - I recommend opening a support case with Laserfiche.

 

Within the past couple months we have been configuring a ton of SSO with Participant Licenses and going through Laserfiche's white paper's on SSO and STS is extremely helpful.  If you haven't gone through those guides, I highly recommend doing so.
