how to empty workflow queue

hello all,

 

i have been facing a problem when migrating the workflow server, it happened twice.

when starting the services on the new server, the workflow queue becomes not empty, and redo many workflow again although the queue was empty (showing 0bytes in the workflow admin console) before migration.

so what is happening, i think i stopped the workflow from keep running by restart the message queue service.

but how to avoid it from happening again ?

What exactly are you doing when you "migrate" the Workflow Server? A newly installed Workflow Subscriber does not process events that happened before it was installed.

Restarting the Message Queueing service has no impact on the messages already existing in the queue or Workflow's processing of these messages.
