Question

Are there any email parameters used for sent/received email identification?

asked on September 10, 2017

Hi there,

Our customer would like to archive and track a lot emails which are sent from Outlook to save to a repository and they need to know which are sent or received emails.

So far we could help them with a field designed for making decision of which are received(In) or sent(Out) emails.

Anyway they really need to keep in/out email information without making decision.

All we have found about email parameters in the options described below,

Are there any email parameters used for send/received email identification?

Or are there any strategy to accomplish this requirement?

Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

What you may be after would be something in the lines of the below:

https://www.laserfiche.com/marketplace/email-manager-by-efusion/

this is dependant on your client requirements, I currently have it for a client where it saves all outgoing and incoming emails. Can be set for either each mail box / exchange account or even both. Client has full visibility of the data being entered prior to it saving.

I have also requested to see if LF will have their own email integration of some sort previously and there is some thing in the pipelines but not sure how automated it will be though?

Hope this helps,

Ziad

Hi everyone,

Hi Ziad, thank you very much for your suggestion.

Our client, All they need is archiving some  important sent/received emails in repository so they could create reports from those emails.

The point is they really need a sent/received flag field in each email file for creating some important reports and the requirement is "Could Laserfiche automatically make decision which one is sent or received email for them?"

Questions from our client is...

Can we accomplish this with any methods or strategy from Laserfiche system?

Or we have to create additional function using the SDK (or we better choose an application from Laserfiche Development Partner.)

Our client would like confirmation about this from vendor for their decision?

Thank you in advance for any information.

Hi Bongkoch,

Refer to this requirement eFusion can solve your customer needs or you can handling by using Laserfiche Work flow to tag SENT/RECEIVED email.

With Laserfiche Microsoft office integration features, it serve only send email and/or attach file for default and/or selected Laserfiche destination folders.  Any out of the box for Laserfiche Microsoft Office (For this case is Microsoft Exchange), you need to tag SENT/RECEIVED by using eFusion or using Laserfiche work flow.

Hope this can help.
