Question

Workflow 8.0.1 to Workflow 10.2 without disrupting active/running/waiting workflow instances

asked on September 7, 2017 Show version history

How do you upgrade Workflow 8 to Workflow 10.2 without disrupting active/running/waiting workflow instances?

The help files state that I must perform a complete install of Workflow 10.2 before running the migration utility.

However, as I run the upgrade, it states that I must stop the Workflow 8.0 service and Workflow 8 Subscriber service before I can continue with the upgrade.

My question is if this will stop the running instances. If so, how do I get around this? I can hit ignore, but want to make sure their would be no issues.

Stopping services will not impact running instances. The data is persisted to the database when the service stops.

FYI, The services can stop without affecting the running instances.
