A customer recently noticed that in the Created By and Last Modified By columns in their repository instead of seeing a username they are seeing a SID sometimes. When at least one of their users are logged into the repository he also sees his SID instead of his username in the bottom right hand corner of the window where the username usually is.
Also for this user as you can see in the first attachment his SID is showing in the bottom right corner, and it is also showing in the Last Modified column for the Division of Health Quality Assurance folder. However, his username shows in the Created By and Last Modified By columns for the Field Operations folder.
I can go to the Properties of the folder or document where the Created By column is showing a SID and the Created By field shows the username.
I looked in the Admin Console and saw that all usernames are in there correctly in the Windows Accounts node. There are some SIDs listed, but they are from deleted accounts that were in AD that the client hasn't gotten around to removing. They are all disabled though. Also saw that the few Laserfiche accounts in the Admin Console that some were linked to SIDs instead of windows accounts. Removed that link since all users are using Windows Authentication only.
They do have Directory Server and I verified that all the Accounts set up there are using the Windows username and there no SIDs listed.
We've already rebooted the Laserfiche Application Server and that did not resolve anything.
I also looked in the account_cache table for the Repository and saw that there are a lot of SIDs listed in the account_name column instead of a Windows username.
I have verified that that these SIDs are active accounts in Active Directory by running a wmic command shown in the second attachment.
The customer has said that nothing they know of has changed. They are on 10.1 and plan to upgrade to 10.2.1 soon, but are still doing testing in their Dev environment.
Does anybody have any idea what could cause this and how it could be remedied?
Thanks so much,
Molly
