Laserfiche Import Error Request Entity Too Large

asked on September 6, 2017 Show version history

I have a new Laserfiche install, and using the 10.2 Web Client we are receiving the following error for documents over ~1MB. We do have a web proxy in play. So I'm just looking for some guidance on where to begin looking.

The stand alone Laserfiche Windows client works as intended and does not give a similar error.

Does anyone know where the response error "Request Entity Too Large" displayed in Red comes from (is it the http response etc.)?

Has anyone seen this error before?

I haven't found any mention of the specific message anywhere else here in the answers forum, and I just want to know if I should be looking at my proxy (nginx) or the IIS server first...

Thanks for any tips or suggestions.

This isn't an error coming from laserfiche I don't believe. It looks like a restriction placed by your server.

I don't know if this will help but might be worth a look [Error: Entity Too Large]

Yup, the client_max_body_size directive in my nginx.conf file did the trick!

Thanks for the pointer Aaron!
