I've been researching the administrative guide and all the posts on answers concerning the dcc.  I've got a few questions I can't figure out:

With scheduling OCR for after hours using the windows task scheduler to enable/disable the dcc, will that process even work with Avante?  The DCC scheduler is the worker station.

Using the same scenario (Avante single node), could a task be created in windows task scheduler to run a batch file that simply starts and stops the LFDCC service?  It looks like this would be simpler because it would also just clear out the jobs queue for the dcc.

And just to make sure I'm not misunderstanding or missing something.  It looks like the powershell commands turn off the worker stations in the dcc, and the scheduler shuffles the jobs around to available resources.  Is this the only benefit to using the task scheduler versus setting the workflow starting rules on a schedule?  I understand the workflow operation is unilateral, and gets no feedback on the ocr job, and those jobs can be stuck in queue and run over into business hours. But is there any other reason for using windows task schedule and the powershell commands?

Thanks,

Frankie
