Task Assign based on department selection

Dear All,

 

i have new purchased order request for multiple department organization. i want once user submit purchase order request after that it should go to approval to team manager and after approved by manager it should go to account.

 

here i have multiple department how to set approval request  send on based on department selection.

If I'm understanding your goals correctly, and you are using Forms, there's actually several ways this can be accomplished. For example, Forms has "Teams" and you could create one for each department, create a User Task assigned to each Team, then have an Exclusive gateway that routes it to the appropriate Team/department based on your form variable.

It sounds like a Form may be helpful for routing this kind of request.  If you'd rather use Workflow, then you could always create a workflow to send the submitted request to the first reviewer, then configure a wait condition to not route the item to the second reviewer until the first reviewer has approved it.  This would likely involve a Template Field for approval status, unless your process has another indicator for a document's approval.
