Support for APP service installation in DMZ server with Directory Server 10.2

Hi,

Does Directory Server 10.2 support installation and configuration of Mobile APP service in a DMZ server? In the previous version we used reverse proxy in order to achieve this.

Laserfiche support had confirmed a few months ago that the new release will allow mobile APP service installation/configuration in a DMZ server. Before I communicate this to our customer or upgrade DS in an existing RIO installation, I thought I will check here first.

I appreciate is someone can confirm whether its true.

Yes, we tested the mobile server in the DMZ with LFDS10.2.1. Until version 10.3 of the mobile server will be released which was added support to configure the WCF endpoints from its configuration page you will have to configure it yourself. LFDS has an endpoint configuration utility that can be used (endpointutility.exe) to edit mobile's web.config.

Thank you for your response.

We have 10.2.0 version of the APP server. Please can you provide us instructions detailing whats needed to be manually modified in the web.config file?

I also read in the release notes that the LF Server version has to be 10.2.1 for Directory Service to install. Our current LF version is 10.2.0 as well. Please can you let us know if any effort is being made to support 10.2.0?

Attached is a configuration file for the mobile app server for the DMZ configuration. Look for comments with "DMZ scenario" and copy the corresponding elements over to your web.config.


You are correct, LF Server 10.2.1 is needed for Directory Server 10.2.1 and I am not aware of any hot-fix being issued for LFS10.2

Thank you Barna.

Just to double-check, We don't have to upgrade Workflow Server or Forms server. Just Laserfiche and Directory server require upgrade correct? Also, all other LF components which are version 10.2.0 will continue to work with the upgraded LF and Directory server components correct?
