Questions About Weblink Cookies

asked on August 15, 2017

Hello Everyone,

I had a couple of questions in regards to Weblink and Cookies. 1) Why do you need cookies for weblink? 2) Do cookies have to be on if a public user is using weblink?

Cookies are required to match the user to their session in Laserfiche.  Different users can authenticate differently, the Laserfiche server limits the number of available sessions, and some resources (like search results) are only available to the session that created them.

Thank you for your response Brian. Are cookies required despite the user being a Public one?

Yes.  Public users still have searches and other resources that are specific to their connection.
