'Keep Current Template' not working

I am saving a form at the start of the business process and at the end of the business process.  When saving at the start, I've assigned a template and configured the fields in the Forms dialog.  When saving at the end, I want to use 'Keep Current Template' to keep the template first assigned, and includes any content that may be updated from the intermediate tasks in the business process.

When I choose 'Keep Current Template' and save, I get no template and no fields associated with the entry in Laserfiche.  Am I forgetting something in my setup?  Please see my screen shots attached. We are on 10.2.1.

It looks to me like you are saving the beginning and ending documents as separate files.  So I would make a guess that on the ending document you say Keep Current Template but since it is a new document, there is no template or fields assigned to it.

Yes, I was initially saving as a new document vs. a versioned document.

So now you are saving it as a versioned document?  Are you doing this by the New Document settings within Client?  Or through Forms?
