Question

occasionally encounter error when copying document from desktop to Laserfiche Client

asked on August 10, 2017

Hi,

One of our Laserfiche users encountered an error when copying document from her desktop to Laserfiche Client

She sent a document from a folder location on her computer to Laserfiche using the "Send to" option (right click on the document and selects "Send to").  Occasionally she would get this error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Invalid pointer [6000:0x80004003]

When she clicks the Details button, this is displayed:

Error Code: 6000

Error Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Invalid pointer [6000:0x80004003] (Invalid pointer)

I searched for the error on the internet and cannot find a solution.  Has anybody encountered this error before?

Thanks,

Teng

Can the same document be brought into Laserfiche using either Import (within Laserfiche) or with drag and drop?  If it cannot be brought in at all it might be an issue with the file.

When we unchecked the Generate Searchable Text checkbox, the pdf is sent
to Laserfiche without any error.
