I want to start linking documents that are scanned into the Laserfiche system. Is anyone else currently doing this? If so, please elaborate on your procedure and any Best Practices you recommend.

I use Link Documents in a limited capacity. So far it has been for things like when everyone in a department needs to electronically acknowledge the policy (through Forms). I will link each of the stored acknowledgements to the original policy. Or I have a scanned document of a list of audits a department did. Each audit has a different set of documents for it. I link each set of documents (scanned in as 1 document) to link back to the list.
