In Quick Fields, it was possible to scan directly into a document. Is this functionality possible in Quick Fields Scanning? I understand that you can scan a new document and cut and paste those pages into an existing file but that seems inefficient compared to the old method. Thank you!

Any thoughts on this? Thank you!
Hi Shelby!
Yes, we've gotten a similar request here before (https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/122296/Ability-to-continue-scanning-using-Quick-Fields-Scanning#122718).
I'm curious about your use case. Are you asking for a "continue scanning" option like in the linked question? Or would you sometimes want to append to a different document than the most recent one?
Thanks for the reply, Pieter!
Yes, the linked case is one of the use cases. Also, if they find other documents that should have been scanned in with a document that has already been scanned, they would need to "Continue Scanning". As I mentioned in my post, I know that we can cut/paste those pages (which is pretty much what you suggest in the linked post). However, that seems inefficient compared to what was previously available in the application.
Are there no other solutions for this? If not, can I put in a request for this function to return in the next version of Quick Fields Scanning? Thank you!
Hi Shelby!
Moving the thumbnails is currently the only way to do this in Quick Fields Scanning. And yes your request is noted! I'll send it on to the team
