Quick Field scanning- make location invisible for users

asked on August 1, 2017 Show version history

Hello All,

I have a requirement from a client for Quick fields, he does not want the storage location and tags to be visible on the quick fields scanning for all the users. Is there a way to make it invisible?

Thank you.

Hi,

in that case, you do the following approach.

1. scan & Store document to one common folder and design the workflow to routing the document to the final destination.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Shiraj

Hello Shiraj,

We are already scanning and storing in a common folder. We want to hide the storage location and tags details from the end user.

Is there any access right that could be disabled?

Thank you.

No. The purpose of Quick Fields is for the user scanning documents to also check they're correctly scanned and filed. The path is part of that since they may have to correct it based on the information on the document.

I think what Shiraj was suggesting was that you scan into a generic "Incoming" folder (without the subfolders) and let Workflow file the documents once Quick Fields sends them to Laserfiche.
