Prompt on PDF Files when closing a file are not consistent

asked on July 31, 2017

Hi Team,

I have a client who uses PDF Exchange when opening and editing files from Laserfiche. They are advising me at times that the prompt option selecting a field they do not want to always be selected? As in, they would always like the top option of the below prompt to be selected, but at times it defaults to the last option:

Is this / or does this occur because of the last user action from a previous document closed selection? and if so, can this be changed to have it to always "in this scenario" to default to "Save as a new version of the document" always? and the user has the option to "Discard the changes" if needed?

Use case scenario - the user was working on a PDF document and once the file closed, he got the prompt but pressed OK straight away where the "Discard the changes" was the selected option and lost all the work he had done on the document.

Thank you

Ziad

I think you are right, it shouldn't use "discard" as the remembered option. We will look into fixing this (bug# TFS36771).
