Question

Forms 10.2 from 9.2. An error was encountered while updating the database.

asked on July 29, 2017

All,

I am needing help to get this resolved. Forms is not updating properly when going from 9.2 to 10.2. Through the web interface, I get an error that says An error was encountered while updating the database. If I try and manually run the SQL queries in the forms\SQL directory, the 9.2 to 9.3 and 9.3 to 10.0 work fine. When I run 10.0 to 10.1 I get an error that says:

Msg 9105, Level 16, State 25, Line 1508
The provided statistics stream is corrupt.

I also get errors in the Windows event log:

The error looks like related with SQL Server bug https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/2829845/fix-the-provided-statistics-stream-is-corrupt-when-you-run-the-update, can you apply the fix and see if it helps?

If it still does not work, can you open a support case and provide your db? Thanks.

Hi Rui,

I  have applied that fix and we still have the problem. Do I need to go through my VAR to open a case?

Thanks,

Preston

A case has been opened with Laserfiche Support. This thread will be updated when a resolution has been reached.
