DR-6010c Slow scanning

I have several users that are using the Canon DR-6010C scanner to scan into LF. It will scan the first few pages quickly then slows down between pages which caused it to take an extreme amount of time to do a large scan. We have tried several things without being able to resolve this issue.

Changing drivers

Changing Canon DR-6010C scanners.

verifying that the scanner has the latest firmware.

Have you checked the scanner setting to see if the scanner itself is trying to OCR the document as it scans it?

No I have not but will look into it tomorrow.

I would think it is within Laserfiche that I need to make this change?

I used to think that too.  But some scanners have settings internally where they try to OCR as they scan.  This was the case with a scanner we have.  It did the first few pages fast but then slowed way down.  Turned out the scanner was trying to OCR as it scanned.

I looked at the scanner and there is no settings for OCR but there is in LaserFiche.

The EU will be in tomorrow and we can look at it more then.
