Question

How can I upload from server to devices to sign them?

asked on July 24, 2017 Show version history

Hi all!

I need your help for a process. I dont really know how to do.

My customer scans some documents (about 20-30 per day) and need to distribute them to the right man using tablets (samsung).

Then, the delivery guy distribute the products and get signatures.

At the end of the day, each delivery guy back with or without the signatures and upload the files to the laserfiche server.

Each documents with the signature is finish. Each documents without the signature back to the tablets.

Please look the Roadmap.

Actually the green part is over ; now I'm trying to put the files from Laserfiche to the tablets using workflow.

I don't know if this is the right way and how to do.

Someone have a solution(s)?

Thank you in advance.

Regards

Hi Olivier,

Is the Laserfiche Mobile App installed on the tablets? If so, just move the relevant files to an appropriate location in the repository that each delivery can access (say, \Root\Delivery Guys\Specific Delivery Guy) before they head out.

Once they return to the office and sync their devices with the mobile server, you can have a workflow listening for whether a signature was provided (could be a metadata list field with values "Signed" and "Not signed" that the delivery guys populate after each stop) and then routes the ones with the value "Signed". The "Not signed" documents would remain in each delivery guy's folder.

Hi Rob,

Thank you for your solution. This was my idea too.

Actually, I'm trying Laserfiche Mobile, but I need to have connection with Laserfiche Server to see the documents. Without the connection, the documents are not visible and so I cant sign them.

I dont know how to load documents in my devices then use Laserfiche Mobile without Laserfiche Server.

Hi Olivier,

If you're interested in trying to setup that connection, you will need the Laserfiche Mobile add-on for Web Access. Details can be found here:

Short of using Laserfiche Mobile, I think your best bet is a Workflow that pulls all required documents together for each delivery person each day. The deliver people will checkout these documents and each day check in the ones that have signatures. This isn't the most straightforward means of setting up the delivery drivers with these documents, but something like it is the best I can think of off the top of my head.
