Maximum characters in a barcode?

Quick Fields Barcode module appears to have a 30 character maximum length for a single field.  Can someone confirm this is fact?  I've done testing and as soon as I use 31 characters, Quick Fields no longer recognizes the barcode.

What type of barcode are you using?

Code 128.

I do have others available, if that would increase the possible size.  Let me know! Thanks!

Miruna, I checked using Code 93 as well as PDF 417 and Datamatrix, and Quick Fields does recognize more than 30 characters with any of those three types.  Thanks for jarring my thought process to consider using a different barcode type!

It works for me, so maybe look at how the barcode is generated and applied? Maybe it gets squished into a small space which makes it unreadable.
