Question

Process modeler not routing correctly

asked on July 17, 2017

Hi all,

I have a process Modeler with 4 forms. I'm in the early stages of testing it; all I want to have happen at this point is when the starting form is submitted, send the next form the a specified user. Process Modeler:

So as you can see, I have the model starting with the starting form, when that is submitted, I want to send the Investigation form to a user. However, for some reason, upon submission of the starting form, you're automatically redirected to a form that does not exist (it's been deleted). I have no idea why this particular form is being called in, especially since it's not a part of this process model, and definitely not the one in the user task. Any idea what is happening here?

Hi David,

Can you check the message start event and see if it has option "Redirect to website"?

The "auto load" feature in Jason's reply is not available in your Forms version.

Rui,

Thanks! I feel like an idiot; not sure how I forgot to change that. It was a redirect... The other issue I had was an undefined variable that wouldn't allow the form to submit properly. Found the solution to this here: https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1013639/a-is-an-invalid-expanded-name-from-the-string-called-expandedname-error-occurs-on-a-form-submission-. So I believe everything is working as it should now. Thanks for the help!

It sounds like there's more going on here, but as for automatically loading the next form, do you have that box checked in the message start event properties?

EDIT: My mistake, like Rui said, this doesn't apply.

This happened to me in the most recent forms also. I just had to delete and recreate the section and tasks in the process modeller to get it to work.

I have no idea the "why" behind this why it doesn't change to the new form though.
