Assign field data activity not removing unassigned fields when assigning a template 10.2

I am on Workflow 10.2 and I am having similar issue to those identified in the posts below:

I've used the assign fields activity and even with the box checked to remove unassigned fields, I can still see those fields at the bottom of the new template.

Looking for some assistance in getting rid of those additional fields, thanks!

What is the version of the Laserfiche server you're using?

Miruna, apologies for the delay, traveling this week!

Our server version is 10.2.0.839

LFS.exe is 1/30/17

Any thoughts on why I'm still seeing the unassigned fields?  Please advise, thanks.

Michelle, I know we tested a workflow that worked in a test environment. Were you able to modify and test in your production workflow? Was it an access rights issue with the Workflow user like we discovered in the test?

John, yes, it was an access rights issue with the Workflow user which we corrected during the test.  I was able to modify my production workflow to correct the issue by removing the first template then assigning the second as part of the save to repository step.  See attached.
