LFDS23 Laserfiche Directory Server Error

asked on July 13, 2017

Good Day All

When I try to log in to Directory server I get this error as per screen shot.

The user was added to the Security Groups in Directory Server. Event Viewer gives me the following error

Laserfiche.LicenseManager.TrusteeNotFoundException: Exception of type 'Laserfiche.LicenseManager.TrusteeNotFoundException' was thrown. at Laserfiche.LicenseManager.LicenseManagerService.GetUnsignedToken(LicenseDatabase database, String sidString, String identityProviderName, String hostIDs, Boolean bLocalPrincipal) at Laserfiche.LicenseManager.LicenseManagerService.GetUnsignedTokenEx(LicenseManagerServiceCallArgs _args) at Laserfiche.LicenseManager.LicenseManagerService.DispatchFunction(LicenseManagerServiceCall func, LicenseManagerServiceCallArgs args) Type: Laserfiche.LicenseManager.TrusteeNotFoundException Stack Trace: at Laserfiche.LicenseManager.LicenseManagerService.GetUnsignedToken(LicenseDatabase database, String sidString, String identityProviderName, String hostIDs, Boolean bLocalPrincipal) at Laserfiche.LicenseManager.LicenseManagerService.GetUnsignedTokenEx(LicenseManagerServiceCallArgs _args) at Laserfiche.LicenseManager.LicenseManagerService.DispatchFunction(LicenseManagerServiceCall func, LicenseManagerServiceCallArgs args)

ExceptionType Laserfiche.LicenseManager.TrusteeNotFoundException
StackTrace at Laserfiche.LicenseManager.LicenseManagerService.GetUnsignedToken(LicenseDatabase database, String sidString, String identityProviderName, String hostIDs, Boolean bLocalPrincipal) at Laserfiche.LicenseManager.LicenseManagerService.GetUnsignedTokenEx(LicenseManagerServiceCallArgs _args) at Laserfiche.LicenseManager.LicenseManagerService.DispatchFunction(LicenseManagerServiceCall func, LicenseManagerServiceCallArgs args)

The users need to log in remotely to add uses to Directory Server (10.2.1)

Any Ideas will be welcome

Can anyone log in to the Directory Server web administration page right now?

There are several layers to Directory Server security. Where did you grant the user access?

Those settings look correct. You mentioned that they wish to perform remote administration, but I noticed that all the screenshots from your last post are localhost

Are you able to view the site when you are not on the machine where Directory Server is installed? Basically, I want to know if it's how they are accessing the machine that is causing the difference.

Yes i log on to the server where directory server is installed to get those screen shots.

For the other users from their pc we send a link http://11.69.65.26/LFDS

for them to connect to, that is when the error happens.

If i use my account to log in it is 100%, but not any of the other accounts.

It sounds like you might be better off opening a support case so our support team can help narrow down the root cause.

Were you able to find a cause/resolution to this?  I am seeing this in my event viewer.  I can log onto LFDS and all products are working without issue, however, this error is popping up at random times in the Laserfiche\Directory Service\Server\Operational Trace log file.

I have logged a support call and the instructed me to upgrade the directory server 10.2.

Will do the update and give some feedback

Hi Glenn,

The behavior you described (errors logged, but no issues with login) should be resolved by update to LFDS 10.0 update 2 or 10.2.

Hi August,

The issue Glenn is describing (errors logged with no issues logging in) is a known issue that was resolved. Your problem is not a known issue. It looks like either some additional configuration is needed, or there is a bug that is specific to a setup like yours, which is why the support case is the best place to troubleshoot it and upgrading is may not resolve it.

We still recommend being on the latest release if possible.
