Laserfiche integration with DocuSign - how does it work with DocuSign templates?

I'm just beginning to explore the DocuSign integration with Laserfiche.  In my situation every time I send documents out for signature they will be different.  My understanding of DocuSign templates is that is a standard page that is signed.  From what I can tell Laserfiche requires a DocuSign template when it sends the document out for signature.  Do I need to develop a coversheet to the contracts that is consistent with a signature field in order for this integration to work?

My implementation is with contracts so there will be multiple documents uploaded and the contract itself will have varying number of pages and the signature will be in a different place each time.  Is it possible to identify multiple documents within Laserfiche to be sent then using the DocuSign interface identify where the document needs to be signed and send it out without a template?

Did you ever receive an answer to your question? Our company is dealing with the exact same issue. We've already paid for the integration and we've begun configuration. It's very frustrating to know that the integration may not create the efficiency we were hoping for. Any insight you can provide on what you've discovered would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Carlton, working with DocuSign directly (I basically contacted their help desk) I discovered that it is possible to place a signature based on a phrase on the page.  This allowed us to have different contract documents and we inserted a "sign here" phrase with DocuSign would look for regardless of where the phrase one.  I would highly recommend you contact DocuSign's support - I was able to work with one of their techs on the phone and they were very helpful.

Hi Sandy,
I know this post is from many years ago, but I am running into the same problem when it comes to contracts. I already use these "anchor" phrases to keep the signatures in the correct place in the template, however, I am running into trouble when the number of pages of the laserfiche document does not match the number of pages in the DocuSign template. 
How are you going about using the DocuSign templates when your contracts have different numbers of pages? Any insight will be helpful, thank you
