Question

Question

Information Lost.

asked on July 10, 2017

Hi Experts.

We have a client that has migrated the information of its volumes with the native client of Laserfiche with the option "Task -> Migrate Entires".

It seems that this form of work has resulted in the loss of information of objects in the repository. There are records in database, but when you bring the document, the error "File not found" is displayed.

Do you have any idea what may be going on?

Thanks in advance.

Was the volume path changed from the administration console? Verify that the path is a valid location. If the path is correct, please open a support case.

Hi Robert.
The volume path does not change, the information is lost after the migration.

Thank you for the quick response.

Find one of the problematic documents that shows the "File not found" error. Open the document properties dialog from the windows client (right click on the document and choose "Properties"). In the "Document" tab, note the name of the volume. In the "Page Info" tab, note the path to one of the images. Now go to the administration console, get the fixed path of the document's volume. Combine the volume fixed path with the image path of the document. Does that file exist?

Hi Robert.

The file does not exist.

This action was the first thing we do, we also developed a component to review all orphaned documents, there are about 2000 documents lost.

We are preparing the information for the support case.

Thank you

What makes you think this was caused by the migration between volumes?

The change of volumes is the only action that has been performed in addition to the version updates
