Parallel not moving along

I am sure its something easy but I cannot get the next activity to run after my parallel is closed.

Here is the overall process:

And the small part of the diagram:

In my test the GC does not have it so it goes up to Parallel to Gaming 2 (confirmed in the Instance monitor. Legal Review is No so it closes the parallel right away (should be correct). Then GC can do its process and finally close the same parallel. The instance monitor shows that it works however it does not seem to move on to the workflow after the parallel.

Any thoughts?

Chris,

The problem is that a parallel expects all incoming paths before proceeding. So on your Close Parallel gateway, it is also expecting the path from Legal Review Check and Acceptable to Legal to come in before moving on.

So what activity do people use to send off a parallel task while others have multiple steps? Our scenario doesnt seem all that out of the ordinary. Essentially we just want to pass a task out to a group while the other task moves along and can all kinds of different things. Basically it is a side task that just runs along with the main task and that main task can do multiple steps. But before completing the side task also has to be done.

Any assistance from Laserfiche would be appreciated. I also tried the following:

I added an Exclusive Gateway that does basically nothing but merges the two lines so that we go to the Close Parallel. When doing this, it went right by the parallel and did not wait. It tried to run the Final process workflow before the other branch came back.
