We recently upgraded Forms from 10.2.0 to 10.2.1 using the original 10.2.1 package and got bitten by this bug:

"When upgrading from Laserfiche Forms 10.2.0 to Laserfiche Forms 10.2.1 Update 1, the installation process now properly retains existing communication settings. Previously, this could cause Workflows with Laserfiche Forms activities to be unable to connect to Forms 10.2.1 with a "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found" error. (30388)"

The issue was fixed in 10.2.1 Update 1 released on Friday and rolled into a new installation package, but by the time we noticed this it was too late and we experienced an outage. Fortunately this happened on a weekend, but still...

I'd like to request that the LF installers behave similar to those of some infrastructure-critical Microsoft products. For example, MSSQL installers check for and automatically download hotfixes and service packs as the first step before the actual installation occurs, ensuring that customers don't use outdated installers and run into bugs.

Has there been any discussions about this internally at Laserfiche?
