Embedded Web Client document viewer: pages say "Unauthorized"

asked on June 30, 2017 Show version history

Hello,

I'm working on embedding the Web Client in a Form, and for some reason I've been getting pages that just show "Unauthorized" in the upper left corner.

The document worked fine just a couple hours ago, and when I try other documents there are no issues.

Both documents are in the same folder, exist on the same volume, and I am logged in as a user with full admin rights.

The Web Client is version 10.2.0.150

The URL I'm using is "http://SERVERNAME/laserfiche/DocView.aspx?db=testdevrepo&docid=ID"

Again, with one ID I get the error, with another in the same folder I do not. If I rotate pages or enable additional panes, such as the thumbnails pane the images display correctly but go back to "unauthorized" after I revert back to the original layout.

Hi Jason,

Sorry for the late reply to this. If press F12 to open dev tools and reproduce the issue, do any error appear in the console? If you click the network tab in dev tools, do any requests return 500  or 401 errors (they'll be highlighted in red)?

I'd also recommend setting the log level to debug in the Configuration page->Diagnostics tab. Then, reproduce the issue and check the logs at c:\programData\Laserfiche\WebAccess\EventLog\. See if you can find any error that includes the 'Unauthorized' from your screenshot, or any errors in requests to TileData.aspx. If you do, post them here.

Hi Ryan,

I've actually altered my approach significantly since posting this question, and so far it hasn't produced the same error.

Instead of manipulating the web client interface, I am opening the web client in a hidden frame (login is set to automatic with Windows credentials), then building/accessing the Tile Helper URLs directly so I can display one page at a time.

Was this ever figured out?  We have user that is has this for a single document.  Can see all other documents in the folder and other users in the group have no issues.  Can even see the thumbnail but not the image and it makes no sense.

I stopped pursuing this approach so I never identified the cause or a solution.
