Question

Office Application Keyboard shortcut to Save as a new Version?

asked on June 26, 2017

Hi All,

Was wondering if there could be a way we can set a keyboard shortcut for Saving a document as a new version? Instead of the user having to go to the ribbon and selecting save as New Version?

Basically having something like CTRL+E or something similar to save the document as a new version that is directly opened from Laserfiche Client?

Thank you in advance,

Regards

Ziad

Hi Ziad,

When the user presses the ALT key, you'll see that a letter (or combination) displays next to all Ribbon controls in the UI. The user then presses the letter assigned to a Tab, then that of the control in the tab.

Thank you Huazhen,

That did the trick to find it out, was wondering if we can have a different shortcut assigned to it or make it any way easier to get the same result or create a shortcut option.

Thank you again,

Ziad

Hiya Ziad!

For me, it is ALT + Z, A2 and Enter. Not really saving you any time versus 3 clicks of a mouse though
