Question

Microsoft Web Apps/Office Online

asked on June 20, 2017 Show version history

Hello,

With regards to the Web Client's integration to Microsoft Web Apps is this limited to Microsoft Web Apps Server 2013? Is the newer rebranded office online server compatible with Laserfiche Web Access?

There seems to be very little documentation on this topic but continues to be a well sought out feature by customers who are adopting web focused user interactions.

Thank you,

Thanks Brian,

I see a great opportunity with this hopefully more information will be posted and shared.

Is Sharepoint 2016 integration currently planned with Laserfiche?

Thanks.

Are there any benifits to updating to the newer versions from 2013?

Currently it seems the office web app integration allows browser based editing on powerpoint and excel but not word with 2013.

What functionality do you get with the newer editions?

Yes, editing Word documents is possible in the newer Office server.

Hi Brian,

I am testing office online 2016 integration with web access and I am noticing issues with tracking versions. It identifies that there is a new version but does not seem to be able to view the changes also when I click compare it does not allow me to view the word file with the highlighted red changes nor does it identify that any text was changed etc.

Hello Brian,

I am unable to get office online server integration working with the versioning controls in Web Access. When I update a document it tracks there is a new version but does not notice the changes made, also it seems unable to sow me the changes when I compare ex. version 1 to version 4.

Please advise.
