Question

Number of active sessions

asked on June 19, 2017

Dear all,

I understand that a LF named repository user can have a maximum of 4 concurrent session. Does this apply for:

1. Laserfiche forms authenticated participants

2. Laserfiche form users (add-on to named user license)

If not what is the maximum concurrent sessions these users can have?

Thank you.

Regards,

Vimal

Forms full named users have to have a session available to them when logging in when Forms is set up to use authentication through the Laserfiche repository. However, Forms does not hold the session to the Laserfiche Server open after the user is authenticated and its license type is confirmed.

If Forms uses single sign-on through the Laserfiche Directory Service, the session limit does not apply.

Regardless of authentication methods, a session to the Laserfiche repository is opened when browsing the repository in Save to Laserfiche activities in the process designer.

The concurrent session count applies to all applications, so in the cases listed above, the Forms session would be counted against the limit.

Either type of Forms users should not have the same connections limitation as they are not connecting directly to the LF repository.
