LDAP Participant Group - Can't Assign Access Rights - Forms 10.2

asked on June 19, 2017 Show version history

After doing some reading it appears that we aren't able to assign Access Rights to a form using an LDAP Group of users with Participant licenses, is this correct?

If that's the case, what is the best way for us to assign submitter access rights for all named and participant users to a form? Are there any other options?

Having to add users manually and individually isn't really a viable solution.

If the group is added through LDAP participant profile, the group shows on system security -> participant tab, then you can add the group to access rights and participant users belong to this group would inherit the access rights.

But if the group is added through LF Server, the group shows on system security -> named user tab, then named user users belong to this group would inherit the access rights while participant users could not.

And once you added the group in LF Server, it won't be synchronized as participant group.

So in your case, why not add another group in the AD? Keep one group as named group while the other as participant group, and add both to Access Rights page.

My issue was that the user I was using to test was listed both as an LDAP and AD user. Once I sorted that out, I was able to add an AD group with our named users and an LDAP group with our LDAP Participants to the Access Rights page successfully.

Thanks.
