Question

Laserfiche Unattended Install

asked on June 19, 2017

Hi,

We are upgrading our laserfiche from ver 9.1.1 to ver 10.2. We are not upgrading the old installation but installing the new version onto a different server and then migrate the Repositories from the old to the new. I wanted to install the clients via unattended install. But before I deploy to the over 200 users I want to know if there is a way to attach via the script t the new server since the installation I believe will only upgrade but point to the old server. Thanks

Regards,

Mark

How are you configuring your unintended installation? We're looking to do the same.

Thanks,

Hi Michael,

The procedure for unattended install for the client is detailed in the help document. See below

https://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/Laserfiche/10/en-US/administration/#../Subsystems/LFAdmin/Content/Installation/Overview_unattended.htm%3FTocPath%3DLaserfiche%2520Administration%2520Guide%7CLaserfiche%2520Installation%7CUnattended%2520Installation%7C_____0

DO not hesitate to ask in case you have any query regarding the procedure

The attached repository settings are stored in the registry.  If they are new PCs, you can push the settings into the Local Machine section and the first time a user logs in, they will pick up the settings.

See

What is the registry key and value to set to avoid having to manually attach a repository?
