scanning issue JIT debugging

I have a client that is setting up a scanner for a LF user on a computer that has never had a scanner till now. He had a scanner on a different computer in the past. They keep getting this error after setting up the scanner in the scan window. When they click Continue or Quit, it doesn't go away and they need to force quit the window.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Does this user have some sort of custom Windows roaming profile? Scanning saves that to the user's APPDATA folder, which usually resolves to something like C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming.

He is using a roaming profile but when we add the xml file then run scanning again it gets removed.

My user is using a roaming profile as well.

I am having this same issue with a user who is running windows 7, laserfiche version 10.3, and is using redirected folders, not roaming profiles.

 

We upgraded his scanner, and after I installed the new scanner, we went into scanning, changed the settings to look at the new scanner, successfully scanned some pages, and then when we went to exit we received the error above. His old scanner worked without issue before I removed it.

When we go back in to scan, his new settings looking at the new scanner are not saved and he has to manually change them, and we then get the error again. The layout XML it is looking for is sitting exactly where it should be, so I tried to delete it to see if the software would re-create it, no luck, so I tried copying another user's XML file from their location and pasting it into his, and it made no difference.
