Error Code: 6000 Error Message: The parameter is incorrect

asked on June 14, 2017

Good morning,

We have a document being placed in our Laserfiche Repository by a forms process.  The item is linked as an attachment, but when the user clicks on links to view the attachment, they receive this error.

I can't seem to pin point the issue.

I imagine the link is being sent to the user in an email--is this correct? If so, is the email being sent by Forms or Workflow? Is the recipient a named Laserfiche user?

Thanks for the reply, Rob!

The link is not being sent by email.  The link is created by Laserfiche forms when the form (and attachment) are submitted.

Would you mind posting a screenshot of the link in question? I'm having trouble visualizing this.

Sure thing!

The links are apparent in the Metadata tab "Links" when they click this tab, users are getting the error message described above.

The establishment of a Link is established through Laserfiche forms in the "Save to Repository" task and applies to any documents add to a "Upload" field in the form.

Hello,

We are now experiencing this issue on another users profile, under a different template.  The template in question in this case is not new and has been working without issue for the past 2+ years.

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for the screenshots, sorry for the delayed reply.

I've tried reproducing this error on my end but have not been successful. Have feature rights or privileges recently changed for the users in question? What about access rights for the relevant folders?

You explain that the error occurs when a user clicks the link to view the attachment--does an error occur if the same user attempts to view the linked attachment directly from within the folder itself (ie, not from within the "Links" tab)?

~Rob
