non laserfiche users

I am a laserfiche user, but I would like to submit a form to a laserfiche user using their e-mail, and I want them to be able to fill out the form, and continue in this way in the workflow process.  Is this possible, or does the person have to be a laserfiche user?  The form, and process have all been made public.

Non-LF users can submit starting forms if you have a Public Portal, but they cannot be assigned tasks and fill out forms partway through a process.

The only way I can think of to accomplish this would be to have the non-LF user submission the start of a separate business process, and pass information from Form A to Form B using one or more parameters in the URL received by the public user.

This is the only way I know of to make field variables persist across new instances of a Forms process, or between different Forms processes.
