Question

scanning configure settings and clicking issue

asked on June 9, 2017 Show version history

One of my client is having an issue when scanning within LF. In the past they were able to scan but this issue started to happen now.

LF Client version 9.0.1.610

LF Scanning version 9.0.1.610

Fijistu FI-5650C scanner

When the LF Scanning window pops up there is a dialog box that pops up.

When we click cancel we get a scanning error pop up. This keeps looping...

We reinstalled the driver for the scanner, rebooted the system, and tested it outside of LF and worked. When we tried again in LF the same issues are occurring.

Also, this happens intermittently... we are not able to click within that dialog box as well.

You're using the TWAIN scan engine, that seems to be an ISIS scanner driver. Try installing the TWAIN driver or switch to using ScanConnect as the scan engine.

The Client said they never had this issue before in the past. The only changes they have made recently was transferring users from old Laserfiche Admin Console to LFDS and adding new users to LFDS. Could this be related to this issue some how?

No.

Side note though: looking again, that About dialog says Bowe Bell & Howell driver. How is that related to the Fujitsu scanner issue?

I am a noobie at Laserfiche :(

When we navigate the LF Client and click the Scan Icon, that dialog box appears automatically and we cannot close out of it. We have to force quit it with task manager.

I'm not seeing that behavior, but you are using a fairly old version of Laserfiche. It's probably best that you open a case with Tech Support.
