Feature Request - Laserfiche Connector Profile Editor

posted on June 1, 2017

I know it's not realistic to edit all of a profile, but having to rip out and recreate the profiles every time I want to make a change to the name of the profile, test the regex, alter token names, or change destination fields on the Laserfiche side is an incredibly annoying and frustrating task when I know that should be easy enough to implement.

If the XML was more intuitive I could edit things directly, but I've had no luck with that.

Hi All,

With connector sales now starting to gain some momentum, how far off are we for the simple functionality of being able to edit a profile after it's been setup through a UI?

Cheers!

This is in the works for Connector 10.3, which will be released in the next couple months.

Hi Glen,

In the meantime, documentation on how to directly edit the XML is available here: https://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/Laserfiche/10/en-us/administration/#../Subsystems/Connector/Content/Editing-XML-Profiles.htm

Being able to restart the Add wizard, using the values from the selected profile would be useful.

Also: Adding the Profile style control reference as output from LFC.TestUtility.exe would be useful.

<Attributes>
  <Attribute name="Condition" value="/Root[1]/Pane[1]/Window[1]/Text[2]" />
  <Attribute name="Property" value="Label" />
</Attributes>

Example is from a WinForm UI
