Generate a unique reference code in Laserfiche forms

Dear all,

I have around 10 forms which are accessible to the public and more are to come in the near future. I will like to generate a unique identifier for each submission. Meaning that when an applicant submits any form from the 10 forms, an 8 digit unique reference code is generated. The same approach will be used for the upcoming forms.

Any suggestion will be most appreciated?

Hello Vimal, 

 

Please use this link, https://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/laserficheforms/9.1/en-us/forms/#LookupRules.htm#Storedprocedureexample , to the online help form which gives an example of using a stored procedure to do what you are wanting.  The only change you would have to make is the starting number to get the 8 digit reference number you are wanting.  The example starts with a reference number of 1.
